Product Description

Functionality–our electric height adjustable desk frame offers smoother height adjustments, better stabilization and low noise while running than most comparable products. The telescoping support bars adjust to fit many widths. So even if you decide to upgrade your desktop further down the line, you can still keep the same great frame. This product meets the minimum requirements of BIFMA standards.
Color and style–our frame comes in white, black and silver and perfect for different room décor style. The C-frame foot gives you a slightly more stable desk than a T-frame does because it is built to be very stiff with its cast-molded steel construction to allow for its advanced design.

Features

  • Dual motor lift mechanism – Offers smoother height adjustments, better stabilization and low noise while running. Noise level in running mode is under 50 dBs.
  • Advanced all-in-one keypad- With three programmable presets, you can save your favorite seated, standing, and underdesk cycling heights. Your exact desk height is shown on a display that automatically goes dark to reduce power draw while the desk is stationary. The sit/stand time reminder system also helps alert you when it’s time to stand, and can be turned on or off anytime based on your work flow.
  • Robust and stable construction – Designed for maximum structural integrity, our frame features double steel tubing that ensures stability even at its highest height.

I love my new desk it is just what I wanted in a desk and at a great price. The assembly was not bad it took approximately 10 minutes to put together and works just fine. I placed my order and the desk came right on time and everything was packaged very nice that nothing was damaged. Excellent company!

I’ve had theFlexispot for a couple weeks now and absolutely love it. It is sturdy, was minimally challenging to put together for myself and my husband, and the act of raising/lowering is neither slow nor noisy. The table-top size is perfect for my needs here in the office (program editor for a compliance consulting company), which was the biggest challenge in finding a suitable adjustable-height desk.

    :

I’ve had lower back problems for years. Sitting has never been the problem, but standing and “moving” is painful. As a hobby, I took up stained glass art about 15 years ago and have made it into a lucrative side business. In my shop, I need to be at various heights to use all the equipment. This desk has been a LIFESAVER! I can stand when required and sit at ease other times. The desk was very easy to assemble (with 2 people).

    :

In my life I can count on one hand the number of purchases that have been the best money I ever spent. This is one. I suffered back pain for years. Physical therapy, rest, Advils, heating pads did not help. Then I read that man was not meant to sit all day and doing so is life-shortening.
So I investigated standing desks and found this one. Much more expensive ones are out there. Table top podium style add-on desks are out there too. I didn’t chose them because my back was hurting so lifting to raise manually sounded awful. This desk raises and lowers with a push button. It has lots of space so my hard drive tower, printer, a lamp, and all my papers are all right there around me.

  18. 5 out of 5

    :

I am petite and this allows me to lower the desk to a position that allows me to have my chair at the perfect height. I looked at some of the more expensive adjustable desks and I am extremely glad that I purchased this one and actually saved some money. The top arrived with some damage from shipping. I called customer service and a replacement was on the way the next day. No difficulties at all. Would definitely recommend this product as a good investment.

    :

Great quality. Very sturdy. I have two large monitors and multiple resource books that are on my desk. There is absolutely no wobble. It raises and lowers with no difficulty, very quiet. It is great for people who have issues with sciatica.

Just received my Flexispot today was delivered fast.. I live on the east coast and had no damage to the 71 inch desk… I was really amazed of the quality of the item. I had no problem putting it together less then 30 mins..all I can say is WOW…what a nice lift desk for the price…

  21. 5 out of 5

    :

Wow this desk is really big as i was worried it wouldn’t fit in my room. But it barely managed to fit. There isn’t really much cable management for the 2 engines on each legs as they were dangling down but that can be fixed with just a couple zip ties. The desk can really scale pretty high as i would say even basketball players can use it at a comfortable standing position. But don’t let just the 2 button remote stop you from getting this desk.

    :

Today I raised the desk, and then tried to adjust it. The motor was “clicking” but would not engage. At 10:30am I sent an email to Flexispot customer service describing the situation, and asking for help. To my utter surprise, the phone rang at 1:40pm. It was Anna in customer service, who told me they diagnosed the problem as a controller, that they were shipping a new controller, mounting screws, and complete instructions on how to make the change. She also gave me a direct line to call if I had problems. THAT IS OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, and yet another reason to only purchase from Flexispot.

    :

Fantastic product and amazing value! I researched sit to stand desks thoroughly and bought this because of the price and because it adjusted with the push of a button. The desk is huge so I love all the workspace. If you are looking for a sit to stand desk, this is half the price of any others like it. Trust me, I looked everywhere. You won’t find one with a black base in this size for this price anywhere! No regrets – I’m more alert throughout the day, losing weight because I’m not sitting all day – just thrilled! The only caution is that the cherry color is a bit lighter than I expected, and the finish feels like a brushed veneer even though it’s wood — very nitpicky since I still give this 5 stars given how much I love this desk!

    :

I have used two other types of more expensive (more than $250) adjustable desks during the last few years. The construction for the Apex is definitely “on par” with the heavier ones. The legs and support structure is very (I’d like to say “the same” but I can’t, though it is that close) similar to the GeekDesk – minus the shin smacking cross support “bar”. (Some other similarities are wiring, motor/motor whirring sound (maybe even quieter?), legs, motor housing, power box, control adjuster cat5 plug… it has two, though not sure what the other is for. Maybe what I should list are the dissimilar characteristics… but since many of us would want the most “bang” for the dollar…).

    :

Elegant and simple desk that is very well built. I ordered this desk and received it promptly. Excited, I set out to put it together and saw that the top part of the desk was damaged. I don’t mean like massive cracks or scrapes, we’re talking 2″ of damage that is visible, but bad enough I worried I just spent $600 on a new desk with damage I didn’t do. Having 50/50 success contacting sellers before, I hoped Apex would help out and send something simple to patch or “fix” it. But no, they send me a whole new top 3 days after!!! I want to point out this was before Christmas and this top is HEAVY, so you know it wasn’t cheap.

    +Quiet operation

    :

Excellent customer service. I have been using my desk now for 15 months and did experience a problem with the original controller failing after about 11 months of use. I contacted customer service by email and got a call from a very helpful woman. She guided me through a diagnostic routine and we determined the controller was indeed bad. She asked if I would like an upgraded controller with multiple presets for no charge and I agreed. In 2 days I had a package with the new parts. It has been working great since. The desk gets positive comments from all who see it. It has held up very well to my use. I see no wear on the table top using my two mice(I have a laptop as well as desktop computer), directly on the surface. I am 6’3″ tall and do not wish for it to go any higher or lower. It has plenty of range both ways. Highly recommended!

    :

I love this desk! At a few hundred dollars less than most other standing desks, I was a little skeptical, but the quality was obvious right out of the box. The components have a top quality feel and finish. It went together easily and worked perfectly from the start. The motors are quiet and height adjustments are fast. I have added a slide out keyboard tray, monitor arm, and under desk CPU mount to free up a lot of real estate up top. I have seen the top referred to as “particle board” but that is probably the wrong word. It is fiberboard material that seems very dense and solid, not to mention heavy.

  29. 5 out of 5

    :

Assembly took me 35 minutes and was easy to follow.

The customer service is fantastic and quick to respond.

No draw back to add but I will mention that it is huge and very heavy. I just moved it recently, no matter how strong you are I highly recommend you use 2 people and/or disassemble the top piece from the leg setup.

  30. 5 out of 5

    :

Pros: excellent value, durable, sturdy, beautiful, fully functional after 18 months
    Cons: none
Bottom line: a top-tier product for a very attractive price. I’d recommend this over products twice as pricey.

  31. 5 out of 5

    :

We had an issue with just one of the controllers for the up/down function breaking after many months of use. It still worked well but the piece that affixed it to the desk just so happened to snap. I contacted the company about getting a replacement controller and they immediately responded they would send me one….no charge! I was amazed and fully prepared to be quoted a price for a replacement. The product and the customer service are top notch.

  32. 5 out of 5

    :

The break from my desk’s screens is helpful and a laptop allows for the mobility. Maybe just me, but I “over-consumed” on this one. Very happy with what I ordered and recommend it if you need/want a standing/sitting desk. BTW – the desk surface is simulated wood grain. Perfect for my coffee cups and water glasses, as there is no fear of a watermark. Two improvements – if it was made in the USA and/or had a solid wood desktop surface – both improvement, I suspect, would increase the cost of this desk significantly?

  33. 5 out of 5

    :

Assembly took about 45 minutes to an hour. Long story short, I did it all myself and couldn’t be happier with this desk. It works great and is pretty quiet. I really enjoy the ergonomics of the desk- the little indentation where you sit/stand was well thought out and I can easily fit my 2 monitors on there. I’m very happy I decided to go with this unit. I looked at all their competition and glad I went with Apex. Great quality and nothing but high remarks so far.

  34. 5 out of 5

    :

The up/down of the desk is very nice and super easy to use. I am glad that I opted for a desk with the electric feature. I move it up and down about 4 to 5 times a day – much more than I had initially thought. I have chronic back issues and when I get up in the morning, it helps me to stand for a while to help my back get stretched out. It only takes about 15 seconds to change from standing to sitting with the push of a button.

  35. 5 out of 5

    :

I received a new surface that was perfect upon delivery. Got the desk together with no issues and it really wasn’t difficult to put together by myself. (I’m no body builder). I have 2 24″ monitors and plenty of space for them and two laptops. No issues with the motors and I love it.

  36. 5 out of 5

    :

Let me start by saying I will update my review once I get a new surface. I’m one of the unlucky people who was super excited to get this desk, yet let down by the fact that the surface was damaged in transit( I assume). I guess I don’t understand, it seems that the cardboard that is supposed to protect the surface doesn’t project the edge 100%..guess where the damage was 🙁 If the extra cardboard was providing 100% edge coverage, I don’t think this would have happened. I will keep you all updated.

Great product at a great price. Came earlier than expected which turned out great. Love the desk!

  38. 5 out of 5

    :

I highly recommend this unit as an entry level standing option. Buyers who intend to add a keyboard tray underneath should keep in mind that they will only be able to use short-track mounting options due to the type of cross bracing supports used on the Flexispot.

  39. 5 out of 5

    :

In all, I’m very pleased with my Flexispot. The finish is beautiful and resistant to scratches, and the installation/assembly was relatively simple. You’ll probably need a second set of hands to help at certain points in the process. At $529 with free shipping, it’s one of the best deals out there as well. I purchased a large surge suppressor strip and mounted it on the underside at the back of the desk, along with a cable track for organizing cords. Both add a bit of needed functionality to the Flexispot that other companies offer as add-ons (usually with huge markups).

  40. 5 out of 5

    :

They sent a very helpful video clip. The video shows a lifting column by itself not the whole desk travels a short distance down, backs up slightly and stops. I could hardly see the tiny movement as the desk is assembled and the top blocks the view. The video is useful and I am attaching it. But pay attention to the stop’n’go whirring sound as the desk goes down and backs up. The reset is not complete until you hear it.

  41. 5 out of 5

    :

It isn’t absolutely stable, there is a slight wobble but less than the last standing desk that I had and not an issue at all. I’m typing this out right now and the monitor is ever so slightly moving. A crossbar would solve a lot of this but I don’t know if they offer one.

  42. 5 out of 5

    :

This is an awesome desk!! One of my friend refers this desk to me. Our business build heavy servers and desktop computing equipment. Each server might weight up to 80 lbs. and we have already been trying to find a good work station for assembly and maintenance. The lifting feature is something we have been looking for.

  43. 5 out of 5

    :

I love my standing desk. It’s a great size (very large – easily fits 3 monitors with room to spare). I love the ease of being able to stand or sit with the push of a button. It’s very durable, and the table top looks like real wood even though it seems more like a formica type material (so I don’t need a coaster for my cup). I’m very happy with this purchase

  44. 5 out of 5

    :

I have been looking for an electric standing desk for my home office to match my other furniture, and stumbled upon this one. Was skeptical to purchase at first since the seller seems to be very new. I called the store and the rep who answered sounded very sincere and helped me with all my questions.

The desk is well-built and does not wobble like others that I checked out at local furniture stores. The metal frame is heavy and sturdy. The top is beautiful. The installation is fairly easy and straight-forward. My husband who is not a particularly handy person was able to get it up and running in less than 30 minutes.

I am very happy with my purchase and the service I received.

  45. 5 out of 5

    :

The parts are heavy metal with a thick white gloss finish. The tabletop is heavy and what you would expect from a laminated surface. Instructions were simple and correct. A few bolts and screws, a nifty lever locking system to attach the legs to the frame mount for the tabletop, and very clean wire setup for the motor (run one wire under the black housing of the motor in the cable gap for it).

  46. 5 out of 5

    :

The engineering on this desk is very thoughtful and competent. All components seem to be of top quality. I haven’t raised and lowered the desk enough times yet (probably a dozen ups and downs) to comment on the longevity of the motor, though so far it has performed flawlessly. I’m generally inclined to prefer mechanical movements such as friction mechanisms, but these motors seem to be well up to the task. They are quiet and steady in operation.

The desk itself is rock solid on its legs. This is a result of the clever engineering. There is minimal wobble at standing height, and none at all at sitting height. The desk is attractive, with plenty of room to hold my old rope-start desktop computer (I didn’t want to fiddle with getting longer cords yet), scanner, a table lamp, and a few stacks of papers very nicely.

  47. 5 out of 5

    :

I looked at several different adjustable desks before deciding on this one. This seemed to be the best balance of cost and function.

    I couldn’t be happier.

Packaging was excellent. I saw a number of reviews where folks had some dings here and there, but mine was in perfect condition. They really work hard to protect this thing. Just getting rid of the packaging materials took a good fifteen minutes 🙂

    :

    About standing desks:
If you’re like me, you’ve been all over the internet looking for a sit/stand desk that doesn’t cost a thousand dollars. Let me tell you, this is probably as cheap as you’re going to find them. It is important to note that most of these companies get their desk frames from the same company, so the majority of their price is markup. ApexDesk’s price is simply the best I’ve found for a desk with these features. EVOdesk didn’t even respond to my emails.

  49. 5 out of 5

    :

    About this desk:
Overall, I’m very happy with this product. Even as a standard desk, it works quite well, and looks great. They’ve included two grommets for running wires, and both are located where you’ll actually want them (in the corners). The desk is stable, and I was surprised to find I really like the curvature they’ve added to the front.

  50. 5 out of 5

    :

I was given the option to return the desk I received, which I did. The frame is really long, so it was a bit of a hassle to return, but it worked out in the end. I ended up purchasing this desk again because there simply isn’t a better option in this price range (except perhaps Ikea, but after delivery they were more expensive). The new desk is less shaky when lowering, but it still makes a similar noise. I was assured that it wouldn’t affect the durability of the motors and it should get quieter over time as I use it more often and the motor oil smoothes things over, so I’m comfortable with that explanation.

  51. 5 out of 5

    :

This desk has FINALLY gotten me to spend the majority of my day standing while doing computer support work. I’ve tried 2 different desktop solutions for standing, where SOME but not all of the peripherals to my workstation get elevated. Having a simple, push-a-button option to raise and lower my entire setup has proven highly convenient and effective.

    :

Love it, installed a 36 x 80 solid slab door. Having no issues with it.

  53. 5 out of 5

    :

    Pros:
-Sturdy thanks to solid steel construction
    -Dual-motor means smooth up/down motion
    -3 programmable height presets!
-Frame is adjustable to accommodate a good range of different lengths
    -Inexpensive for a dual-motor frame

  54. 5 out of 5

    :

This is much more sturdy and heavy duty than I thought it might be. Perhaps other reviewers who found it wobbly used too light of a top. I used a leftover slab of walnut butcher block counter top (63″ wide x 25″ deep x 1.5″ thick), which is fairly heavy, and found it to be quite stable. The up/down action functions smoothly, the assembly instructions were well laid out, and the provided self-tapping screws were sufficient to attach the top.

  55. 5 out of 5

    :

Solid, easy to put together, and good speed and touch controls with three memory presets, but be careful to not let the hex tool slip when tightening.

  56. 5 out of 5

    :

I am very happy with this desk frame. Assembly was quick. The parts come disassembled “just enough” to make the product capable of fitting in the box. I ended up getting a solid desktop at Ikea for under $100. I had a support issue with the desk because I did not thoroughly read the user manual and turnaround time was instantaneous from the Vivo team which was great.

  57. 5 out of 5

    :

quite powerful, very sturdy, they keep their 220lb lifting promise, perhaps a bit more. Easy to assemble, but mine had a screw hole that was slightly out of alignment, not performance affecting. Id buy again no brainer-

  58. 5 out of 5

    :

This frame is really first class – solidly built and very stable. I installed it under a mission style desk where it sits very discreetly while in the lower position. Hit the preset to 110 and voila’ I have a great stand up desk!

  59. 5 out of 5

    :

I just received my desk yesterday. Set up was very easy and the product came with a minimum of packaging which was nice for a change. The motors are very quiet and the up and down motion is quite smooth. I use two monitors as well as a number of other computer components so it’s carrying a pretty good load. I reused the top from my old desk and it fit great since the desk frame is fully adjustable.

  60. 5 out of 5

    :

I’ve only been using it for a few days, so I cannot speak to it’s longevity, but from an initial build standpoint, ease of assembly, and usability – it is first class.

  61. 5 out of 5

    :

Was concerned when the box arrived, it was not in the best of shape, but upon opening there were no bent or broken parts. Assembly and installation did require 2 people. I used an existing desk that is 3.5′ x6′ disconnected it from the sides and front fastened it to the new frame and it works perfect.

  62. 5 out of 5

    :

I used the desk today and was up and down many times, it has a nice timer feature to remind you to change positions. I can’t speak for the longevity of the product since I just got it but so far it was well worth the price.

  63. 5 out of 5

    :

When it’s down in the sting position it looks like the original desk. When raised to a comfortable height for me (I am 6’2″) it is slightly wobbly but doesn’t seem to bad. Overall it’s what it says it is it does what it’s supposed to do and so far I’m more than pleased with it

  64. 5 out of 5

    :

So far so good. Easy to assemble, although I found it easier to center the frame on the desktop while the desktop was on the ground (and the frame is upside down). I was able to mark and start the holes for the screws while in that position, then turn everything right side up and then attach the screws. Also, the package arrived without screws (There was a hole in the box, they may have fallen out in transit). VIVO was very responsive and I received replacement screws in less than 72 hours from when I emailed them. Thank you so much!

  65. 5 out of 5

    :

I work from home and this desk frame works great and was affordable. It moves from sitting to standing very smoothly and quickly. I love the preset memory setting and the timer which reminders me to stand every hour. I bought an $8.50 desk top (48 x 24) and $2.99 (x2) molding to frame the desk top at Home Depot.

  66. 5 out of 5

    :

Great desk frame. Works fine if you follow the directions and read the questions posed about the different settings and issues. We disassembled the old desk, and installed this frame in about an hour. I also like the memory function and dual motors. The only drawback are the cheesy screws provided, but made it work.
