No, when nothing is on the desk, it only requires 3 lbs of pressure to raise it and 22 lbs of pressure to lower it. When the desk is loaded to its maximum capacity of 35 lbs, it requires 13 lbs of pressure to raise it and only 3 pounds of pressure to lower it.

No, it does not move out and in. The keyboard tray is fixed when attached, but it can be removed. You can loosen the 4 knobs to remove the two brackets as well as the keyboard tray.

The keyboard tray is pretty straightforward to remove. You will see two metal grooves that have small plastic clamps. Release the clamps and then the tray slides out of the grooves.

  • I am a left-handed mouse user. Can the keyboard tray of the FlexiSpot desk converter be flipped around to have the mouse on the left side?

The keyboard tray has the same amount of room on either side of the keyboard and works equally well for left-handed users as well as right-handed users. You can put the mouse on either side without needing to make any adjustments.

  • Is there enough room on the top of the FlexiSpot desk converter to place the keyboard and a mouse? I really don't want to use the keyboard tray.

Yes, there is room to place your keyboard and mouse on top, however you may lose the ergonomic benefit of the desk's design. For optimal personal health and safety we recommend using the keyboard tray.

The keyboard does not adjust separately. It raises and lowers only when you adjust the height of the converter itself.

No, it's very stable without the need for any fasteners.

The monitor can either be clamped to the desk via a monitor stand, or it can sit on the desk with its original base.
